One of my goals this year is to go an entire year without buying ‘fast fashion’ clothing. I’ve dipped my toes into the water on this one a number of times but I’ve never committed to only buying ethical, fair-trade products.
Another week has passed by and we’re almost on to the last week of January – yikes!

When I lived back in the UK for a brief period in 2014 after my travel meltdown I was feeling a little lost.
2016 has arrived and in full Simmy style so has a flu to welcome me through the gates of a new year!
It’s two hours before the clocks strike midnight in Malta. My friends are out celebrating another year drawing to a close (or otherwise known as any excuse to get drunk and be merry).
Today is a day for happy memories of a day in Gozo with my parents and my adorable (but oh so mischievous) nephew and niece. The sun was shining, the heat was intense but luckily the sea was nice and cool!
We booked our Golden Circle tour with Grayline and although both Lloyd and I would have preferred to have seen the sights alone, to our surprise we actually really enjoyed the trip!
